The Journey is a slow, reflective work, that is suited for advanced elementary ensembles or middle school groups.  The piece is simplistic in nature, but features opportunities for many solos around a recurring theme.  This piece represents a musical snip-it of life's journey - though it may feel like everything moves quickly, life happens over time.  The opening and closing major themes are interrupted by a small minor section in the middle, which represents storms we may deal with in life.
