Vision: 2020 is a riveting concert opener.  It features a quick, fanfare-style opener, and then introduction of the main theme.  After dancing around that theme, the slower section enters for a brief visit, and the piece concludes with a restatement and wrap-up of the original theme.  This piece is around a Grade 3 in difficulty, mostly because of range for some of the instruments.  Some middle school bands will be able to play it (as long as students can reach the range), or it will be something easy for high school groups to prepare.  The piece features many instruments performing small solos and duets.  The inspiration behind the piece is the idea that  as our world continues to seem to fragment itself, we need to work together more than ever.
