This arrangement of our nation's National Anthem was written for my high school jazz band back in 2001.  It opened our first public performance after the September 11 attacks.  I will never forget seeing everyone in the concert hall stand as I turned and saluted the flag as the band played.  The Anthem is not often played by jazz groups, so I hope you'll consider adding this to your performance list.
